Blender is an open source, 3D creation suite. It is a beautiful program that can do a surprisingly large number of things, from 3D modeling and animation, to video editing, to painting and image manipulation. What makes it even more powerful is that it’s easy to develop and modify through python coding. Moo-Ack! Productions has worked on a few addons and modules, listed below.
Learning python scripting?
Minecraft MCprep addon
This is a blender python addon to increase workflow for creating Minecraft renders and animations, by automatically setting up better materials, importing library models and groups, and setting up proxy characters for animation and default animations for regular features like grass and leaves on imported 3D minecraft worlds. Featured on Blender Nation here and here.
Blender Addon Updater Module
This is a python module made for other addon developers. It provides one-click update checking and installing inside blender natively. Always keep your users informed and up to date! See the tutorial here.
Featured on Blender Nation, supported by CGCookie.
Blender Effectors
Blender 3D addon for special motion effects for groups of objects, inspired by Cinema 4D’s shader effectors. Featured on blender nation.
Pose Tool
This is a blender addon which hosts a few tools for improving and extending the use of the native pose library for character animation.
Additional work
Patrick W. Crawford is also been a blender tool’s developer at Theory Animation, developed the Pro Lighting Studio addon, developed initial Pro Lighting Skies update, and several other projects.
